She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight.

There's an Angle between three rivers east of Bree where the Dúnedain live, I don't remember what source says that. The Rangers (or atleast the Chieftains) were raised in Rivendell.

I knew that was coming but I that it would have been from Wayfarer.

Is there anything about a permanate settlement?

I would have thought that they would have stayed in the former area of Arthedain. But It seems to be the in the area of Cardolan and Rhudaur.

Were Fornost and Annuminas COMPLETELY abandoned.

Interesting I always took Rangers and Dunedain to be synonymous.

I guess Rangers COULD all be trained in Rivendel.

The Dunedain/Rangers lived in the North, in the wilds, as Darth has said. They had no real permanent settlement, and at the time of the LotR books, most were involved in the watch over and protection of the Shire, as well as the Bree-land, from outsiders, at the request of Gandalf and Elrond.

I am sure that from time-to-time they may have, in small groups, camped at Annuminas or other ruined cities of the Northern Kingdom, but I do not find a reference to a permanent settlement anywhere in the North.

A moral of the whole (after the primary symbolism of the Ring, as the will to mere power, seeking to make itself objective by physical force and mechanism, and so also inevitably by lies) is the obvious one that without the high and noble the simple and vulgar is utterly mean; and without the simple and ordinary the noble and heroic is meaningless." Letters of JRR Tolkien, page 160.

Strider

I always thought they may have had families and maybe a place called 'home in the settlements of Bree among other places. Also Rivendell and the coastal Elven cities.

I think that is taken out of the Essay of Micheal Martinez:
Ranger For Hire: Have Horse, Will Travel

The riverse were the Bruinen and the Hoarwell. There are some god points in that easy but it does al so say that all places for the Rangers are mere speculations.
