License Plates from Around the World

Standard New Jersey Plate

Traveling across the country I've seen a lot of different license plates. Recently I went out to Indiana and Tennessee. I noticed that Ohio had several new designs. Indiana redesigns theirs every two years and requires cars to have the new plate. New Jersey does not require cars to have the new plates. There are still many cars that have the old blue style.

I thought it would be cool to see the various plates from different states and countries. I've seen mostly every plate design in the United States. A llot of NJ specialised plates hear are rarely seen. But I have seen everyone of them except for the three new ones on the road.

I don't know if Israel has theirs on a website or not - but New Jersey displays them on their Motor Vehicle Website.

I can't seem to put my finger on a picture at the moment, but I do have an interesting fact about Alabama's license plates. It is a state law that every Alabama license plate must contain the words "Heart of Dixie". On the new ones it's quite small, and you could see that for yourself if I could find a picture. Argh.

Khamul, if you go here they have all of Alabama's license plates, except for the standard issue one. I tried last night to get all those pics down to10kb but they'd never go smaller than 12! So good luck, if you want to post them...
