LotR Action Figures

Anyone else have these? I have Gandalf, the Balrog, and Frodo. They're pretty good. I don't think they're connected to the movie, so do you think there will be a separate line for the movie?

I have Gandalf......I thought they were for the movie, because I think that is how I found out about it.....hmmmm...... Ben, did you ever put batteries into your Gandalf so that his staff will light up?

Nope, I believe they're completely separate. In fact, I remember back when I actually did my Tolkien Newsletter, I reported the <a href=http://www.middleearthtoys.com>action figures</a> and the rumor that Peter Jackson was making a LotR movie . A week or so later, it was officially announced, I think. (So some people heard it first from me )

Everyone I know in RL heard it from me first......some ppl still come up to me and say, "Hey did you hear that they are making a LOTR movie?" Are they kidding?

Oh, and I didn't know about the staff since I didn't open them . It's been over a year since I got the first ones and I've been too lazy to open 'em. Actually, I don't know if my Gandalf is the same as yours. The downfall of the line, imo, is the large number of variations. I mean, even Balrog comes in Moria, Forest, and Earth versions, when the latter two weren't even in the book! They should concentrate on characters, not the same characters in different clothes.

Me neither. I've seen them on sale often, though.
