Well, most of my friends know pretty much about LOTR but then there is the forum I spend most of my time on, pbreview, so many typing errors on the names, it's so sad

Boromir- burmir, borumur, birimir, and on and on
Frodo- Froto
Gandalf- Gandor, Gandorf, Gondalf, The wizard guy, and everything else imaginable
Elrond- Agent Smith
Eowyn- They dont even know how to spell this
Arwen- liv tyler! LIV TYLER (then goes on to rave about how hot she is)
Sauron- Sarun, Surun, The eye guy
Aragorn- Aragon, the hot guy
Legolas- Lego, leglas, the other hot guy
And the one the pisses me of the most Smeagol and Gollum- Smegul, Smagul Smeagul, nazgul (yes someone came up with that for smeagol somehow), golum, gullon, gulom, The hissy dude, the precious dude, the ugly dude

*sigh* it goes on and on

Gimils- Gimli, you have to say it fast or something for it to work right.
I think Frodo and Sam are just really good friends, it kind of wrecks the fun of the books with it being any other way.

Now that I think about it more, my grandma used to call Frodo 'Froggy' and No one ever knows who Gimli is

and he's one of my favourite characters

My sister calls Faramir the 'mean guy'.

when really he's one of the nicest guy's ever.

Some of my friends do that! They always want me to teach them about the books. This is some of their pronunciations -

Arowen (Arwen)

Aragon (Aragorn)
Galathril (Galadriel)
And they also get the characters mixed up

I was playing character guessing with my friends. One of my friends (she hates LotR) had the task to guess PJ.

None of my friends at school are Tolien fans. There are a couple who like the movies and think they know everything about middle earth just because they watched the movies twice or whatever. It really annoys me when people get the names wrong, or call gollum dobby or stuff like that. You know what i do? I HISSSS at them. Seriously, if you can't think of anything to say just hiss and they get the message!

I only have one person who will talk about LOTR with me at school and everyone else who over hears (dropping eaves(sp?)) acts like we're total idiots it drives me insane! But there you have it I don't think society will ever except us or get used to our very existence(sp?). So I say screw the world I'm goin to the undying lands I hope to see you there.
