Saruman of Many Colors was sleeping fitfully. Almost everything (except that insolent Ranger!) had fallen into place.
He suddenly stirred and woke! "I sense a disturbance..." he muttered to himself. Staring long in the direction of the woods, he contented himself that these powers in the end, he felt, would neutralize one another. He lay back down, rolled over, and fell again into a light sleep. |
