Harvard Lampoon's Bored of the Rings

I finally got a copy.

It's often way over the top as a parody, but at times it is HILARIOUS.

Anyone else read this?

In some parts, it's 'groan' humour, but in others, it's 'ROTFLMAO' humour. It's a great read.

Oh yeah, I love it, although some of the humour is over my head. The Elvish imitations are a bit tiresome, though. Whether you love the Lord of the Rings or hate it (but if you hate it you probably aren't reading this), you'll love Bored of the Rings.

Gandalf

Just dug up my old paperback copy. I haven't read this in years, so I must read again. I remember the fights between Moxie and Pepsie(I think that were the names) were funny. There was a chapter called Serutan Spelled Backwards...Is Mud...(if I remember correctly, there was a laxative called Serutan, and their slogan was "Serutan spelled backwards is Nature".

The first time I ever Read Bored of the Rings was years ago. I was on a flight from Ohio to Atlanta Georgia. I laughed so hard that people on the plane were looking at me and asking me what was so funny. It was embarassing. I love the poetry in it, and I love the way they took names of commercial products and named things by them. Like Arrowroot son of Arrowshirt. Oh, and how could we forget the V-8's. Really funny stuff.

Here is an example of the High Elven speech:"Yacun leada horsea tawadabawana butcha canta makeitdrinka." or something close to that, heeheehee!
