Imperial Procurement: So you have produced enough armour to equip all our Storm Troopers?
Flimzee Equipment Corporation: Yes indeed!
IP: So...will it stop blaster bolts?
FEC: No.
IP: Rocket impact?
FEC: No.
IP: Light sabres?
FEC: Absolutely not!
IP: Sticks and stones?
FEC: Yes! Erm...(consults notes)...well sometimes. Maybe. Depends.
IP: Is there one single reason we should equip our troopers with this armour?
FEC: Well, it looks REALLY cool!
IP: (thinks). Ok, it's a deal. We'll have a million please.

Well they have to wear some kind of uniform otherwise they'd blast each other and you have to admit white plastic is definately in at the moment
