Dark Magic
Well here goes... hope this works.... heheh.
************************************************** * Tasha lay emersed in the sweetly scented water, her thoughts an unending stream of fury and puzzlement. How could her father do this to her? She wasn't a peasent or a bound servant for him to trade! This all had to be a horrid dream, as surely he wouldn't have agreed to give his daughter's hand in marriage to Lord Stravis. The thought of his name sent shivers of anguish through her. Tasha couldn't, no wouldn't begin to imagine that awful man's hands upon her. Once more she shivered, despite the warm water surrounding her. As the attendants returned with her robe, Tasha was hit again with the unnerving realiazation that this was no dream. In a matter of hours, she, Princess Tasha would be wed to Lord Stravis. Anger welled up within her, but was quickly subdued when her mother entered the room. Tasha stepped from the cooling bath water, and slipped into the robe held out for her. She acknowledged her mother's arrival without looking to her, "Hello, my mother." Her maid-servants looked nervously at one another; as they had never heard Tasha's voice sound so distant towards Lady Eilan. |
