spread or paste

Hello I have been requested to find out whether people are spread people or paste folk. My arguement: Paste is correct because it is a description of the texture whereas spread is what you do with the paste. Chocolate paste sounds alot better than chocolate spread but peanut butter rules all

Ah..The classic spread-paste debate. You know your asking for a flame war on this thread.?

I would say that paste and spread are describing two different consistencies. So some things should be called paste and somethings called spread respective to their consistency.

Even if your war on me was just - as it was not,for were you ten times as wise you would have no right to rule me and mine, for your own profit you desired-even so, what will you say of your Torches in westfold and the children that lie dead there? And they hewed Hama's body before the gates of Hornburg, after he was dead. When you hang from a gibbet at your window for the sport of your own crows, I will have peace with you and Orthanc. So much for the House of Eorl. A lesser son of greater Sires am I, but I do not need to lick your fingers. Turn elsewither for I fear your voice has lost it's charm.

I've never heard of this one! Up here we argue about whether you say Coke, Pop, or Soda. Ummmm....I don't thing I've ever heard paste, that means I must say spread. Here's another hot topic: Are fruitloops sugared, or frosted? I say they're sugar frosted

Well, I just go with whatever it says on the jar.

Well, paste is a lot pastier, but on the other hand, spread, you can spread it, y'know, and that's cool . . .

Paste makes me think of glue, so I'll have to go with spread.
