those Scary Disaster Days

If anyone wants to share a time when they were in danger from a fire, tornado, hurricane or anything else. Here is the thread to do it.

I remember several tornado warnings in little rock AR. me and my mom were driving home one day and it tarted to furiously rain, and thew thunder was so lound and the lighning so close, I've never been so frightened before in my life. this was about three yrs ago.
For a week straight in AR. we had wind, lightining and furious rain. I was listening to some classical music that just matched the scary occasion perfectly.
Me and my dad were coming back from missouri to AR. when the radio man announced a tornado warning. we could see the tornado behind us just barely.
We had to go down to the basement on this occasion; the radio man announced an F-2.

I remember when Hurricane Andrew hit southern Florida. We were just on the outskirts, so it wasn't really that bad, but a small tornado tore up a couple of trees. One landed on a shed in out backyard and another landed on a house down the street. No one was hurt, and the damage was easily repaired.

Other than that, I've only experienced severe thunderstorms here *knock on wood* we haven't had anything really disasterous.

Speaking about hurricanes, that hurricane Grace was pretty nasty.

ALL ALONE

Hey B. Banner. I remember that night. You guys left me all alone in the house with that tornato blowing through and all the lights went out. I was scared so I went into my huge closet and closed the door (that way there were no windows to break). I was there all night alone and fell asleep eventually. All I had with me was a small radio that would go in and out so I had no idea if I would die because it was coming straight through there. Of course, being an optimist, I believed, of course, I would never get hurt (j/k I was terrified)

Last summer we were driving across Kansas and can you guess what we almost came across? Behind us the sky was black and we were basically racing to get away from the storm. There were many reports of tornados, but we only saw a couple of tiny ones that didn't last long. It was exciting, but scary too I know I don't want to live in Kansas.

Also
I remember when I was about four, we were in California. There was an earthquake, don't know how severe it was, but everything in the house was shaking. My mom told me to hide under the table as things were falling over around me. I remember that being quite frightening.
