It has been awhile since I last updated the Sliders and Tater has assured me that people other than myself are actually interested in them....so to those people, I appologize for the wait. :)
This weeks puzzles are images of Gollum by three different artists.....Nicholas Bayrachny, Douglas Carrel and Inger Edelfeldt. Thanks to Rolozo (www.Rolozo.org) for the images.
Again, if anyone has three images that they would like to see showcased in the sliders, please email me the JPEGs: mcasto@bellsouth.net

We continue to perfect the new design initially released last week. We have now made it compatible with all resolutions and browsers, and will change all of our pages accordingly as soon as possible. I'd like to give a big thank-you to Lauren, who worked out the bugs in our design. One of the changes is that all .html files have been changed to .shtml. This is to incorporate SSI programming into the site. If you have a bookmark or link to a .html page here, please make sure you change the extension. If you find any pages that I've inadvertently left out, please let me know.
In Lothlorien, the Fan Art Galleries have gotten larger. The picture count has swelled to about 50 pieces. Each artist now has his or her own page with images and information. These pages will be updated when we receive the personal information from the artist.
And finally, I would like to wish all of our Jewish visitors a very happy New Year and a meaningful Yom Kippur.

I'm pleased to announce that finally, the Tolkien Trail has a new design. After many hours of hard work by myself and Tater, it is finally in place. There are now two sidebars, for easier navigation. There are still a few bugs that need to be worked out - for example, if your resolution is less than 800 by 600 or your browser occupies only half your screen, the tables may not align. While we work this out, your best bet is to increase your resolution to the new standard, 1024 by 768, or maximize your browser.
After months of procrastination, Isengard is open to the public. Based on the crafts of Saruman, Isengard contains info about the games, toys, and collectibles relating to Middle-earth. While Isengard is currently rather bare, we will be improving on it significantly this weekend.
Also this weekend we will add dozens of new pieces to the Fan Art gallery, and make many other changes. Plus, another contest is in the works!

We are now using the Greymatter program to post all news on TolkienTrail.com. This post is a test of the new news system.
