Favourite Movie Quotes

That movie was sooooooooo funny!!!! Here are some of my favourite quotes:

"You got ash on my tomatoes!!!" (said by Pippin, at Weathertop, when Frodo stomps out the fire. I missed this one the first 3 times I went.)

Pippin: "You'll need someone of intelligence on this sort of mission....quest....thing." Merry: Well, that leaves you out, then, Pip."

Pippin: "Right...so...Where are we going???"

Pippin: "What about breakfast???" Aragorn/Strider/the Dunadan/etc: "You've already had it." Pippin: "We've had one, yes, what about 2nd breakfast???" Merry: "I don't think he's heard of 2nd breakfast, Pip." Pippin: "What about elevensies? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He's heard of them, right???" Merry: "I wouldn't count on it."

Sam: "No-no-nothing important!!! Well, I did hear a great deal about a ring, and a Dark Lord, and something about the end of the world, but that's it!!! Don't turn me into anything...unnatural..."

Sam: "I ain't been dropping no eaves, sir, honest!!!"

The hobbits have just rolled down that hill and fallen all in a heap.
Merry (or Pippin, I've forgotten): Oh, I think I've broken something. *Pulls out a broken carrot*

My favourite quote from the film was "Long years ago.." or something of that sort, because it came early on and at that point the film looked good. I also liked whatever the last line was because it woke me up in time to leave so I didn't have to sit through it twice!

I think i liked Gimli most of the characters in the movie... He really LOOKED like a real dwarf. nd he had a real dwarf-voice.

When they are about to jump over the chrasching bridge in Moria and Aragorn is about to throw him like he did to Merry and Pippin.
"NO one tosses a Dwarf!"
And when he have humped over: "Not the Beard!"

Or when they have disembarked from the boats and Aragorn and Legolas is going away to scout, and Gimli wants to join them.
"No master dwarf," Aragorn replies, "wait here and recover your strength."
"Recover my...?" Look at the wrath, and the sound he makes! And then he turns to Merry. "Don't listen to him young hobbit."

Oh, Gimli's sooo cool...

(And hello everyone.. I realise this is my first post!)

More quotes...

I remembered three more:

Pippin: "Well, that was close!!!" (landing 6 inches away from a pile of you-know-what!)

Sam: "Never trust a Brandybuck and a Took." Merry: "It was just a detour...a shortcut." Sam: "A shortcut to what?" Pippin: "Mushrooms!!!" (Pippin is shoved in the mud by Merry, then Sam.)

Bilbo: "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve!"

Hee hee hee......Oh, and you know what the corniest line in the movie is??? It's said by Arwen: "If you want him, come and claim him!!!" That is the stupidest line in the movie.....

I love all these quotes!

I agree on Sam's "And i'm coming with you"...it is funny, but omigosh it's so sad at the same time. The second time I saw the movie I had to sit and swallow my sobs before I could leave

RE: Favourite Movie Quotes

My favorite has to be when Arwen tells the Nazgul:

"If you want him, come and claim him!"

Truly, a thing of beauty.

Oh boy. My favorite quote would have to be:"Elevensies?Luncheon?afternoon tea?Dinner? Supper? He knows about them?Doesn't he?" or "Oh that's nice. Ash on my tomatoes". He he he he.
I also loved Sams"Nothin' importent sir. Just somethin' about and evil ring adn a dark lord and sumthin about the end of the worl. Please dont turn me into anythin'....unatural" But I LOVE abosolutly ADORE."I made a promise. Dont you leave him Sam Gamgee...an' I dont mean to"at the end of the movie and Frodos"I'm glad you're here Sam". LOVE those quotes. But then there IS Pippins,"You need people of intelligence, for this sort of mission...quest...thing."
Sam

Absolutely anything and everything said by Pippin...
"Is it secret? Is it safe?" (Gandalf)
"Rivendell!? Did you hear that? We're going to see the elves!"(Merry/Pippin/Sam...I couldn't tell...)
"I would have gone to the end with you...my brother, my captain, my king." (Boromir)
Ooh... and Galadriel said Amarie to Frodo! I didn't notice that until the fourth time seeing it!

YES!!! and when Aragorn said that he wouldn't let "our" people fall or whatever!!! I WAS BAWLING!!! I'm sitting there going *sniff* WHY *sob* *sniff*

I love what Sam said to Frodo when he thought he lost him in the corn.. "Don't you lose him Sam Gamgee...and I don't mean to" also what he said when Frodo was rowing away!!!

And Frodo's "Come on Sam" when Sam went further away from the Shire than he had ever gone before!!!

Wot a load of trash. I'm going to see it again tonight to remind myself of how bad it was, and to see if I can find any quotes that are actually in the book and are said by the right person!

"Fool of a Took!" - Gandalf to Pip in Moria.

'What's this? A Ranger, caught off his guard?" Arwen says to Aragorn, holding a sword to his throat...?? (kinky)

"Hey Merry dol, Ring a Ding Dillo!" ...oh wait, that didn't make it into the movie version!

my favorite is Aragorn's "we willnot abandon Merry and Pippin to torture and death Get only what is necessary; we trael light. Let's go hunt some Orc" at the end because he seems very.... I don't know how to describe it. I just like the way he says it

also, the movie version of my signature Gandalf sounded all proud of Frodo and all

in the exchange between Merry and Pippin at Rivendell about the whole "mission... qest... thing" was thoroughly hilarious I'm Pippin and Merry's this guy I know named Jon lol so yeah
