Lewis/Tolkien Friendship Movie?

My brother said that there is a script being considered about these two, and that the writer of Batman Begins (of all people) is working on it. Sound weird or what!

Indeed they are; which reminds me, have we started a thread on the inklings yet? Off the top of my head, I can only think of Charles Williams as the other prominent Inkling...

If that is the one, it's based on a book (you can read the first three chapters of it here). It's a good concept - and I bet they didn't have any trouble pitching it to a film company after the success of LOTR and LWW.

(The book needs a British editor though - none of the characters sound like they're in 1917 London!)

Thats the funny thing about us americans, we think the british way of speaking is simply writing them with more letters

Maybe Wagner thought that the "din" part would give away what his music was before anyone heard it...I'd say he was pretty smart for changing the name.

btw, I didn't know Charles Williams wrote fantasy....

I know he wrote thoelogy, poetry, and I suspected some novels...
