Albus, having heard raised voices, ran towards the gathering. He finds Acalwiea, Drake, the Emperor, and several others. He asks what had just happened. After being told, he runs to the Great Hall and asks the Steward to issue a search of the city and also asks that heavy security be placed along the walls and at the gate. He also suggests that the borders be watched for friend and foe alike.

"What ring?" asked Narac. "Wait...that wraith was looking..."
Acalewia shot him a silencing glare. The guard promptly obeyed. The Emperor replied, "I have been promised a ring in exchange for peace. If you see it, tell me immediately."
Narac answered, "Of course."
The Emperor left, and Narac asked, "What was that about?"
Quickly, all of those present pieced the story together.

"He is looking for the ring in order to take control of Middle-Earth," Acalewia said in a lowered voice. "The Wraith must think Drake has it"
"I do have it," he mumbled. Acalewia turned to him with a murderous look.
"Do what?!"

Drake explains that he had discovered the ring. Acalwiea is shocked and demands that he hand it over. Drake does so, and Albus suggests that the hold a private council in the Great Hall.

"And we should protect it," reminded Acalewia. "We should form a Ring-Guard, until we discover how to stop the emperor. Who will be in this guard?"
Drake offered, "I have started this...I may as well finish it! Who will go with me?"
"The might of the Fountain Guards shall go with you," said Narac. "You have my halberd."
Acalewia added, "My bow and blades shall protect you."
"Very well," said the Steward. "Are there any others?"
