Eärni: Well... I figured it would take someone with a lot of pull to get him off the hook just then...

TB: Don't you dare! Why... YOU'RE just as bad as A-P and his puppetmaster Sauron!!!

Ah well... it would depend how high you be wanting to blow the city up. But as this point Valandil will no doubt remove me from this thread for encouraging you.

No, I'm only going to blow up a sewage line in the end anyway (I assume since they were far advanced than most of the time that they had to have sewers).
The real glory hogging part on my part is near the end. I'm not giving it away yet. Let's say I got it from a game where I was swung around in PE, and that gravity, water and air are all factors in keeping a man suspended in the air.

So, is this game still allowing new players, or has it died?

I think it eventually devolved into a group of storylines... of various people who sailed with Elendil, or were in some other way caught up in those cataclysmic events.

No need for everything to be harmonized together... I'll try to get some more posts in soon - maybe even wrap up my own storyline - and let others continue their's (OR... if trollsbane gets TOO divergent, well... I DO have Splitting Powers, ya know... they gotta come in handy for SOMEthing, don't they?? )

Anyway - LCoU, Earniel - you two are free to jump in with trollsbane, or with a storyline of your own... just coordinate with Rosie - our honorable thread starter!

Hmm, setting a whole storyline for my own may be a bit overkill, especially if other people are already wrapping up their stories! I'd prefer to tie my posts into other people's, not write a whole story on my own from beginning to end, I can better go to the Writer's Workshop for that.

Well - maybe I should think about that a bit more. I don't guess I'm really in charge of this anyway - Rosie is!

That's sort of how things have developed though - but I could be open to working other characters in. I'm just still quite new to this online RPG stuff - and Beor and I seemed to do things rather differently from how most games were run - so I didn't know if anyone else even really WANTED to join us!

Also - some of us approached this trying to strictly stick with the 'historical' setting of Numenor and 'The Akallabeth' - while others wanted to put their own twists into it - and add some personal touches to enhance their own fun.

I certainly don't intend to be exclusionary though... I'm just not sure what to do or how to work folks in. But I have a fairly clear idea of how my own storyline should go (maybe my part belongs in "Writer's Workshop" rather than RPG ).

So - I guess I'm open to it - but I have become notoriously slow about posting here lately - sorta lost my steam once Beor couldn't contribute regularly.

I've noticed there are many ways of playing online RPG's so that isn't really the problem. What ever floats your boat full of Faitfull, I'd say.

I just usually prefer to have some input of others in my story line. (Basically because I'm too stupid to keep one up all by myself. )

Ah, still here, I see. Well, Rosie, what's it going to be? You're the leader, as Valandil states, so lead on and say which way this game will be played. Is the game ending?

Is it ending??? Um, well, I figured Amariel and Demaethor- and whoever manages to be alive by the time they get out of Armenelos- would probably get to Elendil's ships and head off for the 'new world' at the end- or we could make it worthy of Shakespeare and kill one of them off. I kind of planned on it ending with Numenor's fall (hint: title). I don't know where trollsbane and his storyline are going (profuse apologies, I've not actually read it), but I kind of got the idea that they'd wind up about the same time.

Right at the moment I think that D and A should get into Armenelos, rescue the little brother and get out. It is after this event that all of Amariel's doubts of Demaethor's motives for 'helping' her are dispelled. (Right at the moment it surely looks like Demaethor was sent to destroy her family- every one of Amariel's siblings he's come in contact with has gotten killed or turned from the Faithful. However, after risking much to save Anardil, she realizes that he's truly Faithful- and perhaps also that he likes her.)
Then they ride for... oh, what's the place? Romenna. Sauron's goons may or may not catch up with them.
Then it'll be Into the West with the Armada, into the East with D and A, and into the Sea with Numenor.

Sound okay to everybody?

Oh, no. How far behind am I? My stepdad deleted my drive, along with all of my RPG work, to get rid of that virus.

From what I saw, many of Tolkien's characters (lots of the Numenoreans / Dunedain anyway) had nice even amounts of years between their ages. Maybe it was just easier that way. So I followed that with this family.

Anardil - 4
Esteldur - 14
Magwiel - 24
Forthon - 34
Amariel - 44

So I just kept them all 10 years apart, and that made Anardil 4.

(I know, I know... short question, long answer! )

Where were we? I should probably do a writing spree and finish this, just to get it off my to-do list. So what was supposed to happen next?

Here's some ideas on immediate events (Val, I think you had the whole epilogue worked out from your first post, eh? lol):

Sauron catches up with them and kills them all. *giggle* Just kidding.

~The language barrier should be broken between Demaethor and Amariel. I purport that Dem should be the one to voice his feelings fitst- only proper in the rules of chivalry, you know.
~Sauron, if his stooges are actually going to catch up and have the end-of-the-second-act show-down, should show up soon.
~The reach... where? Romenna. Find Esteldur.

Questions? Comments? Anything at all?

Well - not at all from the first post, but the ideas began to grow with me as we went along.

Yes - it's been tough coming up with the time to post on this. Maybe soon for me too. Did you see my new short story though? (Writer's Workshop forum) Just gotta gear up again...

Break the ice, huh? I don't know... should it just stay unstated, then we wrap up all loose ends with a nice epilogue? I'm just afraid it could start to sound corny or goofy if we try to write it all up. I'll sure think about it though.

*thinks*

Demaethor: "Uh... Amariel...???"

Amariel: "Me too! Now watch out for the one behind you who thinks the three in front have you distracted."

Demaethor: "No prob" *SHE LOVES ME! SHE LOVES ME!! SHE LOVES ME!!!*

LOL. Funny! Yeah, that could totally work (ARGH- it's taking me twice as long to post anything because I have a Band-Aid on my finger and keep pressing the wrong key...). Well, whatever.

I saw you had something in the Writers' forum. I get short on time though- in short, I haven't read it (yet?). I'll see if I can get over there some time.

I'll try to catch up. I'll have time to write over my vacation, so I'll jsut hope no one meets up with me.
Man, I just can't keep up with my RPGs. I always give my characters all of these big jobs to do and then they suddenly just disappear.
