YES!!!!!!!!!! A stretch it was but you are right. The glass and blowing in eye part was the first part (i read it somewhere dont remember where) and the second part i just made up to make it a little easier, but yes it is correct.

Not exactly a riddle in the classic sense, but find the explanation:

Victor was smartly dressed, well shaven, and with the best haircut he had had for years. Many of his friends and relatives saw him, yet no one complimented him. Why not?
