I've just realized I've been here a long time and my post-cunt is pathetic, so I need to actively participate in all aspects of the board. Even the Hobbit!
And now that the LotR musical is getting underway that forum is bound to piuck up a bit, and I put my two cents in...

Frustrated, huh? Well - my point was not to grab every sub-forum myself. We haven't added anything to Archives for ages - so my last post there will likely go away once we add something else.

Heehee.

You know, Butterbeer, you made some really good points about Thranduil. Especially that Tolkien didn't have any more information chronologically, and returning to your ancestral home by the only logical route, and trying to go to a feast since your starving is hardly a crime.
While I still do really like Thranduil, the Wood Elves in general came off rather badly in The Hobbit.

This thread is awesome.

Well...I think the elves in the hobbit in general were VERY different. I mean, the Rivendell elves sat in trees and san creepy/mocking songs to the company. So weird. At this point I don't think Tolkien's Gondolin elves had ALL that much to do with his Rivendell elves
