The Chronicles of Narnia!

While at theaters for the Star Wars Episode II 12:01 premier I saw a most promising movie trailer for C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - The Chronicles of Narnia! As most Tolkien fanatics know C.S Lewis and Proffesor Tolkien were good friends and even had a "bet" persay on some of their writings. (For which we are given Narnia and Numenore.) Anyhow, I could not find a thread on this topic so I decided to begin an Official/Unofficial thread to discuss C.S. Lewis and his Chronicles of Narnia.

Narnia looks to be the answer to what we will all be missing now that Lord of the Rings, Matrix, and Star Wars have come to a close. The story is awsome in the book so if done properly the film will be most excellent as well. The special effects look to be on par if not better than that of the Lord of the Rings trilogy so visually it looks stunning! I personally can't wait for Narnia to release!

The Narnia previews I saw last weekend looked wonderful! I was really let down with HHGTTG, StarWarsIII was very cool though and worth the hype.

Narnia may have been done right

Can't wait! The preview was stunning. At the end, where Aslan roarer, I actually got slight goosebumps. I actually have high hopes for this movie

Just saw the trailer...it was great! Did you know that Weta (of LOTR fame ) is doing the creature/weapons design? That's why all those bad guys in the trailer looked like orcs.
Can't wait!

As I understand they're doin all seven books. Which rocketh mightily.

As for Narnia books, Chapters has out a single volume of all seven books now.

There's an idea, here, for you, Acalewia. It looks like sort of a mixture of Harry Potter's & Lord of the Rings's styles. The creature-guy working on the Narnia films is none other than Richard Taylor, the Weta Workshop friend of Peter Jackson who did all the creatures & orcs in LotR. It's gonna be SO much fun to see this new movie; I can't wait!

*Jumps up and down* Can't wait til December 9!

What I meant was were they filmed all at once, like LotR, or are the actors going to grow into their characters, like Harry Potter?

Btw,Lotesse thats cool!

88 days til LWW is released!

I certainly hope so, Lucy to me looks like she was cast way too young, and Peter looks a little young (especcially since he's supposed to be the oldest) Susan looks ok from the trailers but the other three seem a little younger than i picture them when i read the books

BTW heres a link for some cool videos and trailers

They do look young, but I think the children are meant to be younger in the books than people sometimes assume. The actress playing Lucy is 10, and book-Lucy can't be much older than that in LWW.

I'm glad they chose unknown actors for the children who will be able to grow into their parts.
