Yeah, the fact that it was so heavily puppetized is awesome. You just don't see that nowadays. And it looks so convincing too. Not like a lot of the cheesy puppeteering in other shows or movies of long ago. Jim Henson does it right.

Henson still is the man when it comes to good puppets.

I've read somewhere that Farscape has found the funding it needed to make a miniseries after the sudden cancellation last year. Definately good news.

That's good to hear. I thought I heard that too but a long time ago when it was just a rumored thing. Then again, Sci-fi has promised miniseries before just to have them cut short after airing only one part . . .

I hope they don't do that to FarScape.

i didn't know this thread existed!

i used to love farscape,
but it doesn't seem to be shown over here anymore
and it seemed to get silly after about series 3 anyway.

No, season 3 was silly, but it had some of my favorite episodes in it, and it moved the story along well enough. In season four it gets very serious. After that it was cancelled unexpectedly because they missed a deadline or something like that to get the show renewed, and that's probably why it isn't aired much. That was a while ago, but SciFi still won't make a fifth season. (That was supposed to be the final one anyway.) They made a four-hour miniseries Peacekeeper Wars instead, and I still have to see that.

Yup, I watched the season four cliffhanger a while ago and I'm still anxious to see what happens next. So lately I've had Farscape on my mind. Who else wants to restate that it rocks with me!?

It seems like interest here has sort of fizzled away. But I just had a thought about Farscape. SciFi should create a spinoff about the Nebari Revolution. And now that I've thought about it, I wonder why they haven't yet. I couldn't have been the first one to think of this, and someone (SaveFarscape) must have already brought the possibility to their attention. Obviously, it would have appeal to all the Farscape fans, and there are a lot of us, plus the more general appeal of any good, new, show, plus Chiana.

Heya bomb, I've just gotten into farscape myself. I'm up to season 2, and lovin' it (knew I would, just needed to make time to watch it). Frellin' awesome show. And yes, the Nebari would be an awesome follow-up show (from the little I've seen of it so far).
