Way to go venturing into the world of forums. The first three-ish years I was on Entmoot, I bookmarked ONE thread because I was afraid of getting lost on the rest of the site.

Greetings, everybody. I've been reading topics for a few days, and I must say that this forum is a real treasury for everything Tolkien-related. I've been hooked to Tolkien's books since I read LotR about five years ago, and by now I've tried to gather everything there is to know about Tolkien's works and his legendarium. As a history student I'm especially interested in geopolitical details and warfare (thanks to Michael Martinez for awesome articles concerning those subjects), though the best thing in Tolkien's works has always been for me great emotions and characters, all the way through from Finwëan soap opera to the War of the Ring. And what comes to the movies, I'm somewhat pro-Jackson, though the movies of course have their flaws.
BTW, I'm not a native speaker of English, so feel free to notify me if I do serious grammatical errors. |
