Personally, I think the AinulindalÃ« and the Valaquenta get very boring once you know them by heart, and then the book picks up a lot from "Of the Coming of the Elves and the Captivity of Melkor", and then it becomes extremely boring at "Of Beleriand and its Realms", and then it becomes very enjoyable once again.
