If you mean P.J's Lord of the Rings vs. G.L's Attack of the Clones, LotR could beat AotC anytime and no one would feel sorry for G.L.

That's what I reckon

Sister Golden Hair's right!

Erm, I was gonna write something and I changed my mind and I can't get rid of it.

Why is The Ring Mistro making fun of The Lord of the Rings?

Well folks, Ring Mistro is entitled to his/her opinion. If he/she thinks LotRs sucks, I fail to see why they would post or visit a Tolkien forum. So inspite of Ring Mistro's disagreeable views to our own, flaming is still not permitted.

as i remember from the silmarillion, elendil and gil galad were slain by sauron. elendils sword was broken when elendil fell dead upon it. sauron was also thrown to the ground and that is when isildur found the remains of narsil and cut off sauron's ring finger while he was down. after that sauron's mortal body was vanquished and his spirit fled away.(im trying to remember this, my book is packed away). so i believe that you are correct afro elf in that sauron and isildur never actually fought. anyway, if my memory is correct(which would most likely be a miracle), sauron killed both gil and elendil, before isildur got "lucky" and got sauron's finger while he was on the ground. i think the movie mixed it up. it showed isildur on the ground and sauron standing.

well thats enough typing. and i'm thankful for a no flamming policy in case my memory is incorrect.

Noted.

Now back to MasterMothra's post. Here's the Sil account:
Quote:
... But at the last the siege was so strait that Sauron himself came forth; and he wrestled with Gil-galad and Elendil, and they both were slain, and the sword of Elendil broke under him as he fell. But Sauron also was thrown down, and with the hilt-shard of Narsil Isildur cut the Ruling Ring from the hand of Sauron and took it for his own. Then Sauron was for that time vanquished, and his sprit fled far away and hid in wste places; and he took no visible shape again for many long years.
Thus began the Third Age of the World...

Afro elf: I think in the end gil galad and elendil and sauron ended up wrestlin without weapons. Aeglos was a spear, I think it means snow tip. Pretty cool though.

Turin vs Tuor
Huor vs Turin
Gandalf vs Sauron (in the book they do not fight)

I'd just have to say that if somebody provoked Sam or he was not in a good mood he would win out of the hobbits

I got the impression that the balrog was already dead or very badly wounded when it fell off the mountain. I believe it can be safely said that Gandalf defeated the balrog through his own power.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling that Turin would win those bouts.

Sauron would wipe Gandalf
Olorin on the other hand.....
