You should check out the arguments yourself, but he does wear a lot of red and black, just like fellow Naboo native Palpatine. And he continues as Palpatine’s companion as the Republic ends.

Right now, if you Google “jar jar”, the first suggestion is “jar jar binks”, and the seond is “jar jar binks sith”.
