Mooters' Anonymous

It seems that a lot of us Entmoot members have found ourselves ...attached/addicted to the messageboard. Some of us frequent the board every day, posting like mad in order to boost our post counts, or just because we can't resist the call of the Moot. I would guess that some of you are also addicted to Private Messaging, like I am. I'd also bet that there are a few of you who stay up until the early hours of the next day, unable to close that damn Entmoot window. And I'm sure there are many like me who think about Entmoot constantly, 'I wonder if SGH would hit me with her stick if she saw what I just did'.

Support has arrived! Let's all sing together and help each other through our terrible condition. Yes, it's kind of ironic to need to obtain help from the source of the problem, but that doesn't matter.

Since it wouldn't be very anonymous if we posted under our usernames, I've created a common acccount for us to use.
[Edit]More than one user can sign in as 'Anonymous' at a time. (It has been proved), but for the password you must PM me/us first.

'Hi, my name is ******* and I'm addicted to Entmoot'

Note: Use of Anonymous is strictly for this thread, for the while.

Look! 2 Anonymouses at the same time! Unbelievable. And I have no idea who you are, Anonymous #2. This is confusing- I wasn't sure if that 'Last Post by Anonymous' was by me or you. I think people might be taking advantage of this. Well, don't! It's for helping each other...*hums*

I think I know who you are as well.

Well, it started when I firt entered this board. In the beginning it was just for fun, but as I got deeper into it it got more serious, and I just couldn't stop. Now my family has left me, and I'm living with my computer in a trash can near a suway station.
I have tried quitting several times, but I always come back...anyone knows of a method to help me?

I bet you do. But they don't know who we are.

If you live in a trash can, were do you get the internet connection from? And your family left you, did you say? So you were all living in a trashcan before that?

Sorry, I commiserate with you. I constantly think about what some Mooter has said to me and I laugh about it when people are around me so they think I'm strange.

I succeeded at quitting for a while, cold turkey. Or you can just try to phase out use of Entmoot, but of course, that doesn't work.

I've made an avatar for us, because this page looked too much like the old Entmoot pages, with no avatars.

Is this supposed to help us become non-addictive? It won't work, I tell you. This is too much fun!

Yes, it is lots of fun. If only there were more users, then we would have NO idea who's posting what. (I also know who you are, Ano #2).

What is the goal of this support group? To share ideas and methods, to let us know we are not alone, and all the while, become more addicted.

Is our avatar ok?

Oh, you're the Ano that's on now. I didn't know that, since it says that you are online too, under your real account name.

Ano #2 suggested that you guess the password from now on (Instead of me posting it). Shouldn't be too hard, for you addicts.

What should the sig say? Damn, I shouldn't have started this. I was going to stay away from Entmoot for a while, looks like that's not going to happen now.

Darn Ano#3 and 90 second rule. Yes, Ano #3 IS good at making up lots of...relevant and interesting stuff.

That's because you don't know who we are, but we know who we are. Don't we, Anos?

Wanna join us, Ru?

No you didn't, Ano #3. Don't abuse this "trust" we have.

For that, you have to post more about your sad addiction.

-Ano #1

New rule: No editing any other Ano's posts. Period.

My problems probably come from a traumatic experience (like someone abusing Tolkien's works) in my childhood. Happy now?

That's terrible, Ano #3! But not good enough. How has Entmoot affected your life?
