So...I thought we could use a General Discussion thread to discuss the wonderful happenings of today and yesterday...

My first question is: who all was in on it besides Spock and bmilder? There had to have been admins, I'm sure...

Just the admins and mods. Although major props to Bombadillo who kept reminding me and encouraging me to get the admins to do a prank. He was not involved in the specifics of the prank though - but he knew that this was a prank, I'm sure.

SGH came up with much of the concept, but we all pitched in and came up with our own things to add. Eärniel made the Star Trek banner. HOBBIT(that's me) created the Entmoot Star Trek Board (as in I created the style/template.. the backgrounds, colors, etc). I created the new title/ranking system too (and did much of the board tweaking).

Of course thanks to bmilder for okaying this prank and making the initial announcements. And thanks to Spock for being such a great "new owner."

It was fun.

yes very good indeed

- however i do have one VERY major concern :

this is that to my current knowledge this apparently seems to have been done without considering the very real hurt or potential to one member- Lotesse- who was not warned and considered herself under a life ban- i mentioned this via Pm to SGH- and can only hope that she was quickly infomed- she was apparently i am told shut out completely.
I understand the need for the show to go on - but it concerned me that this appeared to be being taken lightly - i mean that's a real person man!

For you information Atharon (sp??) - yes the highly mobilised underground were massed and ready to strike in case it was a serious!

Man! - i only just added Spock to my buddy list - eek: lotsy will KILL me - well it was funny- i mean specifically in general- that was until i actaully GOT your email - you do understand don't you?

then i got an email from lotsy - and that has changed things -

anyway- i need to go chat privatelywith her - i really am disapointed that angle was not better handled - indeed i may br angry - *sets stopwatch ...

I saw only two members that said that they quit - Gordis and Lotesse. I know that Gordis was contacted yesterday and knows that it was a prank and that Lotesse will be contacted if she already hasn't.

Wow, Lotesse "quit" and left right after Spock was announced the new owner. I don't know if she even saw entmoot turned into a Star Trek board. :P And she didn't log on later in the day (that I saw). No one threatened to ban her...silliness. So she left just because she doesn't like Spock basically, without even giving him a chance as the new owner.

Pranks, especially around April Fool's Day are a tradition here at entmoot, even though we hadn't done one in a while. The LOTR forums were untouched, and the board's theme was changed for a little under 12 hours.

As for Lotesse - like Hobbit said, I have no idea what that's all about.
