Will it reduce internal dissent if I lay into the United States as a whole?

Of course it's too close for you. You'd have to stand on the banks of the Hudson looking longling out at New Jersey then. The jealousy and envy would kill you. Better to stay far far away instead of punishing yourself like that.

Oh - you pull out the lame old "it smells" joke. You'd think it would have gotten old by now - but no one said that new yorkers had much imagination.

Sorry - but it doesn't smell - and the only part that ever did was in Rahway where all the industry converged. Most of the industry has been changing over - although we still have the oil refineries and of course the largest port on the east coast. But we also have the largest cruise ship in the world - Royal Carribeans Voyager of the Seas - pulling out of OUR docks in Bayonne. NY wasn't good enough for them - so they pulled their ships over to New Jersey. OH - is NY pissed - and it's so funny to hear them whining about it.

Okay, this it total bull(edited). Sister Golden Hair won the (edited) , and so therefore she gets reduced?????

What in the hell?

Why in the name of Eru did this happen? Is it because of all the whining about her rigging the thing because she is an admin??? If so, this is a crock of (edited)!!!

Why in the (edited) would you drop someone down for being the President?? It is absurd!!! It makes no sense, and it is an obvious attack on Sister Golden Hair. Some less voted for individuals probably PMed whoever is the controller overall of Entmoot and convinced them to do it too.

Hey, you didnt win, get over it. Stop crying like a (edited)!!!!

I would put in lots of mad icons, but the damn button isnt working. I hope this is right

EDIT never mind, it works

Will it help then if I say Bush is a funny monkey and it's a shame the West overcame the East? In addition, deer hunting is cruel and unnecessary and gun controls are stupidly non existent. Also who created the phrase 'guns don't kill people, people kill people' is, like too many of your presidents, a dumb ass actor.

Sheesh, this is why I didn't vote

I sure hope all this whining is a joke!

congrats SGH and Valandil!

If I had voted, it would have been for SGH, for all her hard work moderating Entmoot and making it the great board it is!

W00t for SGH!

and vice-W00t for Val!

and to the whiners - oh, nevermind. I'm gonna go check my quote in the Quote Game thread. Go enjoy Tolkien and the people that love him, Mooters!

Oh, so you would rather have global communism? Or maybe just global nuclear war? Screw it, right, its just the world. Little radiation wont hurt it. Oh, and so guns do just get up and go walking down the street and decide to kill people? Or do people have to consciencly pull the trigger, and what the hell does this have to do with the fact that they dropped Sister Golden Hair to a lesser Mod? What does this have to do with the topic???

SGH! I just saw this. I can't believe they did that to you (I didn't even think anyone COULD!). I actually got a promotion! I'm now a moderator... in the Sil Project sub-forum.

Uh... congratulations, by the way - I guess! This part of the outcome makes it seem really weird. I thought we'd be happy if we won - and I was kind of excited (along with totally shocked!) about being a moderator!!

Me, Beor? Um... those views aren't mine, but were kinda designed to be not JD's. Deflect a little hatred....

Aren't we being a bit sensitive, JD?? Hey, if a joke works, use it, I say. Who cares if it's dusty...

Well, I don't really care about having the worlds largest cruise ship parked in my back yard. Especially if my back yard were Bayonne. (Sheesh...even the name is funny!)

On my coast of the USA, we'll be getting a new Fast Ferry (hydrofoil) that will run between my town and Toronto, Canada. It will arrive from Australia later this month and begin service to Canada in May.

(and I'm well aware of the line from Gordon Lightfoot's song "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" that says: "Farther below, Lake Ontario/takes in what Lake Erie can send her...", so you needn't bother... )

Hey, sorry Janny, I am just a little fired up about this whole outrage with the whole demotion of Sister Golden Hair thing. No hatred intended, man.

Oh, and congrats Sister Golden Hair, I guess, even though it is totally a load of crap, because being president is not supposed to be a punishment. Enjoy your position of un-power. This is such (edited).

(that the winds of November remember...Gordon Lightfoot is awesome!!)

That's cool. I'm still in awe of the whole fighting for a noble cause thing.
Sheesh, at least there wasn't a recount in Florida to drag this whole thing out....

And anyway what constitutes a spoiled paper?

I know this is 'way OT, Beor, but it's nice to hear from you in light of everything we're hearing on the news! Glad you're OK.

And yes, Gordon Lightfoot is awesome. I saw him in concert in Chicago many years ago! Great! And "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" is my absolute favorite of his songs!

And yes, I must also congratulate SGH and Val on thier success!

Me too. I just heard about all that bull(edited) up in Falushia (Sp?), that is some seriously enraging stuff, and I dont see why these people do such things when we give them nothing but goodwill (and money). They are lucky because if I was in charge, I would go with the old eye-for-an-eye on this one. But, luckily for international politics, I am not in charge

Yeah, I havent heard the Edmund Fitzgerald in a loooong time. I love that song, though, I love the tone, and if you visit the Lake Superior Museum in Duluth, MN, you get a real feel for the whole thing too. It is awesome. Minnesota is awesome.
