LOL Millane. My government also took the position that it defeats the purpose of democracy to force people to vote. If someone chooses not to have a hand in shaping the government, that's their choice. (You seem to have circumvented democracy altogether Millane. )

However, it seems that my citizens enjoy elections, so there will probably be a high voter turn-out.

Is there any way we can initiate a new law, or do we have to wait for the issue to come up? (Interesting how there were three points of view on my first issue, and my countries motto is "Understanding is a three edged sword.")

I want to pass a law allowing small businesses. People should be allowed to run or own small businesses. However, I want to have a cap of $1'000'000 on the wealth one person (and a corporation counts as one person). One million dollars is more than enough.

If someone finds themselves with too much money, they can donate to one of my countries many well-run non-bureaucratic charities, such as the Non-Essential Health-Care for the Needy (NENCN) charity.

I want to have free health care for everyone for emergency health care (broken arms etc.), and absolutely necessary things like liver transplants, skin grafts for burn victims, cancer treatment. (Income tax is high here (48%) maybe that's why.)

People have to pay for their own optical health, but low income people would get a certain amount of assistance. (Like welfare, but just for healthcare. I still have to work on that.) People who can afford it have to pay for their own non-essential health care.

I also want to legalize euthanasia. Keeping someone on life support will be part of government-funded health care.

You have to wait until it comes up. You can suggest something to be added to the propositions. But that doesn't guarantee that it will be accepted as a new proposition or how long it will take to go through the queue to come up for a vote.

Well hopefully you will join OUR continent - The Great Continent of Entmoot.

Dunedain - most of the details are on the first page of what to do. Basically just set up a country and then move to The Great Continent fo Entmoot.

Basically, read JDs beginning post, and create your own country at NationStates.

Then move it to the continent of The Great Continent of Entmoot using its password: swedenusa

You do this after you've made your country, and are assigned a random location such as The Pacific.

To move to Entmoot:
Log in, and click the name of your country.
Click on your location (like The Pacific) and select "move to a new region"
Then you can enter the password and head off the The Great Continent of Entmoot!

wouldnt be much of a dictator if i didnt im fed up with my serfs, they only have to pay 33%tax i want that trippled (or at least doubled ) how am i supposed to oppress when they are still making enough Holy Millanes to support themselves, i want total control...

Hey - I just feel that religion and spirituality is a personal thing and should not be supported or infringed upon by the government. I think the government should stay out of it completely.

not if your government and religion are the same thing, as in my case i am dictator and God, i use my government powers to enforce my religion on to them and make them honor me as a God hehehe beat that mr evil
