Entmoot Wrimos?

Well, since it was an Entmooter who originally introduced to to NaNoWriMo in the first place, I thought some of you might also be participating in the madness. NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, is November, and the goal is to write 50,000 words by November 30. It's great fun . . . but we'll see if I still say that on Nov. 15.
Visit nanowrimo.org for more info.
So, is anyone with me?

I would be if i didn't find out just like now! not enough time, i can write 2000 words in two hours but 50, 000 would *gets out calculator* take me.....50 hours, two days and them some! Eepp not enough time!

Is there one for December? Is there a certian topic, are all of them 50, 000 words? Can you work in partners? Do you have to start in that month or can you start earlier?

Question: Luis has the same number of quarters, dimes, and nickels. In all he has 4$ in change. How many of each coin does Luis have?
Answer: None. George snuck up behind him, beaned him over the head with an 8-pound mathbook, stole all his money and bought ice cream. George now has 15 cents left (a dime and a nickel) and poor Luis has $-60 in an emergency room bill. Luis' lawyer, however, has a large amount of money. But not change.

In answer to your lovely riddle that i happened to read.... Luis HAD 10 of each coin .25 * 10 = 2.5 + 1.0 (10 dimes) + .5 (10 nickels) = $4! heeehee. What are you going to charge him with..you can't charge him for negligance or manslaughter or even murder, i know there is a charge but if George is under 18 he can only be held partialy responsible, if he's under the age of 12, you can't charge him at all, even if there was intent! And usualy in a civil court case you wouldn't have a lawyer you usaully only have a lawyer for a criminal charge in which George would have already been charged for his criminal act and it just goes on and on and on..

Excuse me, but- what on earth? What does that have to do with NaNoWriMo?

I tried to write a novel. I really did. But I threw it in the (metaphorical) fire at 5000 words. Gyah. It was really bad.

1.) No, it's just in November.

2.) No certain topic. 50,000 words is the goal, but not compulsory.

3.) Yes, if you want. There aren't really any rules on the how-the-writing happens side.

4.) Yes, you have to start at the beginning of November and end on November 30th.

I know too many people who haven't slept for the past three weeks. My friend Jacob was in our fall play (with production week all last, and the thing going up yesterday) with night practice all week, and still manages to pump out 12,500 words a week. It's scary.

Wow, kudos to him! I'm impressed. I have no social life and have been writing approximately 20,000 words per week, but I could never survive this witha commitment like a play.

Elvishfaerie, LeniFreak has happily answered your questions.
By the way, thank you for doing my math homework for me. Too bad it was from a year ago and more of a statement on the weight of our mathbooks than anything else. You may go into law if you wish, but I'll stick to poetry and novelling. Enjoy poking holes in other peoples' logic. You sure are good at it.

*I hope that didn't come off too sarcastic . . . *

Yes, I did indeed. I hit 50k and then some, and i"m now feeling a little exhausted.
Unfortunately, my first draft isn't done. I completed my 100,031th word this afternoon (Dec 7th), and I am well aware that about 100,031 of those words are rubbish, but I'm determined to finish my first draft so that I have a finished draft to edit down to something sensible. *sigh* It's starting to feel like I'm pulling teeth, though. Without the "It doesn't matter how bad it is, just write," attitude of NaNoWriMo backing me up, my December noveling is becoming harder and harder. I've almost completely given up Entmoot time, which hurts quite a lot. I miss the 'Moot. But I have to get this finished . . . .
Wish me luck if you feel like it.

Well, with November imminent I thought I'd resurrect this thread.

I didn't even try last year, but this year I'm doing it. I've got my plot pretty well planned out, and I think I'm staying up all Halloween night to get started. Heh.

Who else is trying?

I"ve become a bit of an isolationist lately here at school, and spend a good amount of my time doing stupid things like playing dumb online games.

I'm in...maybe I can actually start writing again.

Isn't that one of the characteristics of NaNoWriMo?

Was it hard to do? (It would probably explain why we saw little of you. )
