Ainulindale lyrics

One of my friends is writing a symphony of the Ainulindale, and has asked me to write some Elvish poetry for him. I have never written poetry in my life, so I have no idea if what I came up with is even semi-decent, at all what Tolkien might have wanted, or how to improve it.
Even though I haven't been around Entmoot in a few years, I thought someone here might have ideas, suggestions, or corrections
Here's what I have so far:

Illuvatar, laituvan le.
Anelye nin oma.
Linan lait le.
Anelye nin tur/val
Anelye nin men
Linan le!

translated, it should be something like:

Illuvatar, I will praise thee.
Thou hast given me voice.
I sing to praise you.
Thou hast given me power.
Thou hast given me direction.
I sing to thee!
