I wouldn’t have noticed the flying saucer, except for a feeling that I’d left the hose running.

The freeze accounts for it: When the hose is frozen and I turn it on, sometimes I forget to turn it off, because puddles don’t serve to remind me.

I was crossing the yard in my bunny booties, despite not being troubled during glorious days of tropical beach, as return revived my anxieties of improbable doom.

I’d have to say that an alien invasion (as I suppose I can call it), wasn’t previously on my list of things to fear, however.

Next subject, fish.

There once was a fish named we named Joe,
Which sounds quite boring, I know,
But listen intently,
and briefly I'll tell ye,
the story of poor, old, fish Joe.

Now Joe was a lone fish, you see,
He liked to live wild and free,
but one day he fell prey,
oh that horrible day,
he fell prey to a fisher named Moe.

Moe in his fishing caught Joe,
But Joe gave Moe quite a blow,
So Moe, he got Joe,
and Joe, he got Moe,
and now we don't have no Moe of Joe.

And that's all for now.

-_- That was EPICLY lame.

Next subject... PUPPIES!!! O_o

I’m not sure where Monica got the dog. Probably sniffing around outside, looking hungry; Monica likes that type. It’s probably why we were together then. Anyway, she’d brought it in one day and announced that she’d found us a dog. So very Monica, making it ours. That meant I had to feed it and care for it while she went out finding new things. And on the second day, the puppies came rolling out. I’m not sure how either of us missed the signs, but I was knee-deep in critters. And that’s how I met your mother. At the pound.

It wasn't as bad as he thought, if this was indeed it.

Harry Banana was the thinker of those thoughts. He knew hell would be a much nicer place than people made it out to be. How could anything like this really scare them? I mean, once you've been a firefighter for so many years, you start to build up a resistence to fire and brimestone. It no longer affects you the way it does others. Harry knew this would be a long life, in Hell. But he thought he could get used to it. That's that, he thought. The End.

Next Topic: going to the dentist!

Marie had found a tooth. "Mother! A tooth! Can I put it under my pillow?". Mother looked at her. "Marie, you already have your adult teeth... Whose tooth is this?"
Marie answered she didn't know. "Well," mother said, "you can't deceive the tooth fairy with a tooth that isn't yours. Bad things may happen."
And indeed… Marie put the tooth under her pillow anyway. When the toothfairy came by, he noticed the deceit and transformed into the evil toothfairy! He made all Marie's teeth ache, so she woke with horrible pains the next morning and had to visit the dentist.

Phew, a 100 words exactly >_<

The last descendant of Lord Ingwe looked into the sky, waiting for his ship to arrive. It was the 26th century, 700 years since he had arrived here, one of only three Elves to behold this world once again for many thousands of years. He didn't know his own age, and had long ago forgotten his original name. But that no longer mattered. He was given the mission to spread the influence of the Elves to many other worlds. His family would go with him, but he somehow knew that he would not be returning...at least for an age.

Well I got it to 100, that's including the numbers as well.

I can’t believe I got exactly 100 words. It was quite a trick. At some points I thought “I can’t do this! I may as well give up!” but the words kept coming. After that it was a simple matter of checking the word count using Microsoft Word, and voila!
Still, writing a story can be epically hard. I have to thank my mother for inspiration and all the classic writing tools. I would also like to thank the Academy for making all this possible. I couldn’t have done it without this fabulous opportunity. Thank you all! Stop the war!

Jim had lots of paper in his office. Newspapers, ads, files and files, paper in the desk drawer, on the desk, and in the trashcan. Letters from family, friends, and printed emails not adressed to him going through the paper shredder.

That was what the detectives found when they burst in Monday to arrest Jim for blackmail. Jim wasn't in. Had they lost him? A head poked through the door. Older man, spectacled, short. "Oh, you're looking for Jim." "Yes." "Not here. Ran out for lunch." "Thanks." Five minutes later they realized: "That WAS Jim!" They had lost him. Another day.

Romance. William had no time for that. He strode through the courtyard in search of his much younger fiancé. Where had she gone?! Surely she had not forgotten her promise to dance with him?
Suddenly he heard giggling. “Julianna!” The giggling stopped as he rounded the corner. His gaze went from girl to girl and came to rest on his fiancé.
“WHAT are you doing?” he demanded. “Nothing milord.” Julianna answered while trying to keep something from him. He grabbed the book she held, a cheap romantic novel, and vowed she would not ever read such inappropriate, unlawful readings again.

The Crimson Pirate swung from the yardarm onto the deck. Awaiting him by the door to the Captain's quarters were several of the crew.

Five more of the Pirate's accomplices crawled up the gunwhale and surrounded the small knot of men confronting them.

A metallic ringing sounded as the sabres were drawn. The combatants rushed at eachother and the fight was joined.

The Crimson Pirate confronted the Executive Officer, disarming him with quick envelopment, and then rapped his fingers as the EO reached for his pistol.

The fight was soon over, the defeated crew, ordered to surrender their weapons. End.

With that body she could get anyone she wanted. But she just couldn’t. She had to be careful. All it took was a sniff or a bite and that could set her off. Never mind all this full moon crap.
Oh yes, there had been jokes. She was out of school every month, so it wasn’t hard to figure out a cover story. “Ha ha, she has to go to the bathroom again.”
Somehow, the secret made her happy. She began using phrases like “I’ll eat your face.”

Now if only she could find someone to take her on walks.

I went camping yesterday. It was so cold. But I was bundled up. I saw a bear... yes... a bear indeed. It had been the first time I have seen a bear since I'm what they call "city folk." So I took a picture of it with my new camera. Besides the fact that the camera shut off after that, the bear didn't like having his picture taken.68 But the bear just kept wandering around, and then he stole my picnic basket!!! Then I packed up my gear to go home, having taken only one picture of the bear, shucks!

The Valkeria, the newest addition to the shuttle fleet, was, after the huge transport vehicle had slowly placed it on the launchpad, now ready for take-off.

It was carrying the latest module to the International Space Station. The hi-tech laboratory which the module contained would be used for highly advanced research into new allows and materials.

Commander George McDowell and his crew boarded the lift to the upper part of the launchpad’s tower. Minutes later they walked over the slim but sturdy bridge to the shuttle entrance.

A pillar of fire carried the shuttle aloft to its rendevouz with ISS.

"Dear GW, you are always so quick to give up. I had not forgotten about this thread and did not intend to let it die. Now lighten up and wait till someone gets some inspiration to write about anger or a dodo."
Mari wondered if she should put a wink after that last sentence so it wouldn't sound too harsh, but decided not to. It was her way of venting the tinge of anger she felt. Sighing, she wished she could make people see the bright side of things better. Or make them happy. That was her wish in life.

“Up, up and away, my beautiful, my beautiful balloon.” Gw sang happily after Mari’s encouraging post.

Sir Gw was putting the finishing touches to his balloon as Mari showed up wanting to go for a flight. The gas-burner heated up the air inside the huge nylon ball and off into the great blue yonder they went.

Far below them the checkerboard of fields and medows showed green and yellow on the ground.

It was a fair and lovely day for a balloontrip and Mari and Gw was thoroughly enjoying the trip.

A couple of hours later they returned. The End.

next subject: Happiness

(Thanks, Mari. Ill be more patient from now on and allow for the fact that people need time to come up with new compilations. )
