Ah yes, Casablanca. Arsenic and Old Lace got made into a movie with Cary Grant. I LOVE that movie. It has Peter Lorre in it.

I just saw the origional Ladykillers and it was FABULOUS!!! That is one great movie.

Hitchcock. I love all Hitchcock. Was raised on Hitchcock. Rear Window, Psyco, Vertigo, The Birds. I love it all.

"French Kiss" was a real surprise. I didn't expect much from the movie, but it is worth rewatching, especially for Otto (ah, I mean Kevin Klein's character in the movie). Always wondered what happened to Otto West. You'll recall after A Fish Called Wanda he got a cushy job as Minister of Justice in South Africa, but then they went and abandoned apartheid!
(I wonder if he spoke Russian to Meg Ryan).

And the third Indiana Jones movie also. (wonder what an autographed copy of a book, by Hitler, that Indy got would be worth.

"what about Hot Shots and Hot Shots Part Deux"
-----------------------------
That's what I was thinking.
of course the sexy horsewoman might not be acceptable for some now. She spoke French!

And another one mentiond above great to rewatch:
Romancing the Stone (especially for Danny Devito) although
there are lots of good acting bits, and scenery, in it.

Here are some I didn't think of in my earlier post...

Cassablanca
Secondhand Lions
Signs
the animated shorts "The Cat Came Back" and "Bambi vs. Godzilla" (both utterly hilarious...)
anything with The Muppets
Boys on the Side (great for girls night...six hankies!!!)
Chocolat
The Umbrellas of Cherberg(sp?)
Apollo 13 (a real nail-biter with great performances by the cast)

I'm sure I'll think of more....

The Blues Brothers (once watched it six times in two days)
The Princess Bride (can quote nearly the entire movie)
LOTR movies (der..)
Donnie Darko (twice the first night I saw it)
Pirates of the Carribean (at least once a month)
Moulin Rouge (once watched it three times in one day)
Milo and Otis
Love, Actually
Shrek
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
Mulan
Emperor's New Groove (so many inside jokes with these Disney movies)
Eddie Izzard's Circle and Dressed to Kill...not really movies, but they're on DVD! (Do you have any bananas? Cake or death?)

And...I think once Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind comes out I'll be watching it constantly. I love that movie.

Yeppers. Our school just did Arsenic and Old Lace. Absolutley marvelous.

My dad had me watch the Bell's of St. Mary's. I really liked it.

About to read Pygmalion (what My Fair Lady's based on)

Great Jane Austen movies. Which Emma?
I would add Pride and Prejudice.

Arien the Maia. You mentioned "Rebecca." Would this be based off of the novel by Daphne du something?

Two movies to rewatch , with a connecting link:
The Importance of Being Ernest, and
Educating Rita.

What line from Ernest is quoted in Educating Rita?
