The mystery of the giant spider

I know heeps of people who, after seeing the first movie started reading TTT without bothering with FotR. Now I am almost certaint that the movie will stop before our intrepid trio meet Shelob. So half the population will be wondering the mysterious dissapperance of the spider and the other half will start reading RotK and wonder what the hell has happened to Frodo. Another half (us) will be laughing quietly to ourselves.

I think two towers is gonna end right before shelobs lair.So we wont get to see her till return of the king. Bummer man!

i thik it will too.
all those halfs remind me of drama when the stage crew was getting yelled at for "half of them are at trumpet practice, half are at basketball practivce, and half of you are sitting around waiting for the other halfs to do it for you!"

I agree with you. ^ You could totally tell who had read the books. I went to see the movie with my sister, and when it ended, half the people were like. "What? Wait a minute! It can't end! It's not over yet! What is up with that?" I was laughing at them. I was also sickened as well at them

i think its unlikely that if they didnt read FOTR or TTT that they will read RoTK just because of the movie, however i dont think skipping around in the books is bad unless its your first time.

But seriously, who would suffer through the first two movies, and THEN decide to just read ROTK???

I would have thought the anticipation would have been too much after the first movie.

Just tell all your friends that cAnt be bothered reading the books the Aragorn gets killed by the dark lord who takes Galadriel for his wife and feeds frodo to the lidless eye. or is that me being a bit moody ?

Gosh what a great idea! Now what else can we tell them:
Merry and Pipin manage to kill all the orcs, by themselves, that have captured them and escape!
Golum turns out to be decended from a frog and not a hobbit as commonly thought!
The lidless eye shuts!
Legolas dies!
Aragorn shaves and no longer has that dark and ruggedly hansome look about him!
Cant think of anymore yet.
Oh but we will tell all those arachnaphob's (sp?) out there that Shelob is a loveable dog that helps the intrepid duo to outsmart Saron.

Our local paper puts the bestseller book charts in every week. Last week, for the first time (that I noticed), Two Towers was on one list and LoTR was on another, some people are reading the books!

I have another fun plot twist we could add in.

Let's tell all those who haven't read the book that Arwen finds out about Eowyn's crush on Aragorn and goes into a huge jelous rage just like in the sop-operas.

thats a great idea! these all are. oh my gosh i will have so much fun! but if someone did decide to skip one or two books they could always read the synopsis. or they might decide to skip them like a lot of people skip prologues. that would be even better.

I have done that to my younger siblings who haven't read the books. I told them the Frodo dies when he his bitten by Shelob (I reinforce that by reading them the bit when Sam says that his master is dead

) You should have seen their faces! but then my brother went and read the back of ROTK and asked why Frodo's name was there... annoying little brother

i saw gollum attacking sam in a trailer and i saw sam over frodo and frodo looked like he was about to die and they where in a dark room and sam was crying,

i don't think PJ is going to skip shelobs lair
