Songs

Okay, I'm sorry if a thread similar to this one allready excists, but I couldn't find one when I quickly searched for one, so here it is before I explode with enthusiasm.
You gotta hear this:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vRhm4d...eature=related
It's soo nice. It got me all hyper. Stumbled on it when looking for something else.
Anyway, I'm sure you all have songs you're dying to share with the rest of us, so go ahead!

What kind of song criteria are we talking here, cause I'm pretty varied. Nice song btw, really nice.

Haha, let's just say any of Coheed and Cambria in general, especially anything from No World for Tomorrow. I'd love to share any of their stuff, let's see...here's one of their most epic songs...

Well, what I meant to say was: Are we constrained to classical music (I really like classical music, btw, but not contemporary, just so we're clear) or can we throw out rock stuff too?

Huh? Mari's song isn't classical (it's a 'rock' song written by Leonard Cohen).

Sorry Mari, I still think John Cale's version of Hallelujah is better (sorry, couldn't find a better version w/out the string section).

Rufus Wainwright also does an awesome version.

Dear Nautipus, share whatever you want to share. Just throw it in the ring.
I love a lot of music and can appreciate even more, from the heavy classic stuff to the more rock and wilder stuff. As long as it's got some music in it and not just a lot of bass and screaming obscene or rude things, I'm fine with it.

Thanks for the links BoP! They are also very good. John Cale has a very nice pained voice for it.

When I listen to this I can relax, it is very soothing. Would almost make me cry :Dance of blessed spirit by Gluck The version on my cd is better off course, but it's about the music, not the quality of the video right?

Thanks, Mari. BoP......your a smartass.

I like some of Green Day's stuff, that's probably my favorite song by them. I'd never heard the other song, but it was pretty good. Mari, that was a very nice song, very soothing. I think that I'll throw one out there for all of the mooters out there.

*Is hit in the face by Nautipus' song... OUCH!*
Nice song!

Here two Dutch songs. The first is the title song for the Dutch version of Love Actually, called 'everything is love'. The second is fun, 'cause it shows you what is being sung. For example, if the singer says red, you see something red. If he sings pillow, you see a pillow.
Blof, Alles is liefde This one is recorded in Amsterdam by the way. I recognise some of the streats

Eh, probably no one is actually going to know or like this one, but hey, it makes me happy

I Muvrini - DÃ*

A summer night out on the balcony, the stars ahead in a pitch-dark night, the smell of rosemary, thyme and cistus, the far away call of the midwife toad, and then this music. Hmm, I love that island...

Yeah, it was very pretty music, but it would help if I could understand it.

It's Corsican, a mix of Italian and French that is spoken on Corsica, an island in the Mediterranean. I don't understand it either, but the CD's got booklets with the French translation.
