Actually, Hawkman's sidekick is "Hawkgirl" - his wife! Unless they've changed the stories drastically (they do so now and then), Carter and Shierra Hall were police-persons from the planet Thanagar, where all the cops wear those wing-and-bird-beak outfits. For some reason they ended up tracking a criminal to earth and stuck around. They worked as museum curators, which gave them access to all kinds of ancient and medieval weapons (which no actual curator in his right mind would take out and USE - they might BREAK - but this is comics!). So you have the hi-tech sci-fi stuff, and the swooping down on wings to attack with a chain mace or something.

Hawkgirl is in the animated JLA series. Back in the 60's & 70's, Hawkman was a member of the JLA.

i bought my copy of the hulk the other day... has anyone got the 3 disc yet coz i was thinking about getting that aswell but i heard its not a lot different from the normal 2 disc... so thats what ive been watching of late and it kicks the arse of every superhero movie ever made. the fight scenes are fantastic, music is awesome, Eric Bana is at his best, Jennifer Connely is hot as, Nick Nolte makes me piss myself every time he abuses Bruce when there in that big hangar...
