Saw the new Harry Potter movie this weekend, after evening Mass. It was great!

Really enjoyable.

Iron Man 2. SUCH a man-movie. Normally I can get into superhero movies even if I don't really want to see them the first time, but this one was so boring I picked up a Wanda Brunstetter book to read when there weren't explosions in the background. Also made pie during the movie. Never put too much evaporated milk in your pumpkin pie batter.

Just saw Le renard et l'enfant (The Fox and the Child). Such a sweet film about a young girl that sees a wild fox and wants to be friends. Awesome scenery and wildlife scenes too. The fox and lynx scene is really breathtaking.

I saw The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Eragon last week and the week before that.

PC was pretty good effectwise but a bit predictable - so was Eragon - and since it, apparently, got a not so flattering award, I suppose that is the reason for there not being any sequals done.

Anders-yes, I liked PC too, but Eragon was a little on the cheesy-and-predictable side. It just doesn't compare to other movies like it.

I saw The Tourist with a friend last night, and it was great. Johnny Depp did amazingly as a nerdy tourist, and Angelina Jolie was, as usual, confident and "ravishing." I laughed every time Johnny spoke to an Italian in Spanish. The plot was very good and not at all predictable. A must see. It was truly fun to watch.

The Eclipse. 2009 film starring Ciaran Hinds (the best Caesar I've ever seen in the Rome miniseries. It's a bit meandery at times, and the dissonant-piano gets a bit well-worn, but all told a beautiful little film about loss and dealing with the same, with a gorgeous blue and white palette. It involves, but is not really about, ghosts.

I just saw Salt. Really well-done. Highly exceptional action-scenes. Cool story.

I liked Salt too, GW! You'll definitely love The Tourist if you enjoyed Salt.

We watched Knight and Day a few days ago, and it was hilarious. A very lighthearted action/romance movie.

I just reviewed Enchanted April - a truly lovely movie. I do love these British movies. This one in particular - with the sweet Josie Lawrence, the beautiful Miranda Richardson, the enigmatic Polly Walker and the exceptional Joan Plowright - I can see over and over again.

Michael Kitchen, Alfred Molina and Jim Broadbent as the male leads are great.

Last weekend I got "Easy A" on demand- a pretty funny, classic high school movie. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly I thought The Social Network was rather boring and I quit watching halfway through. But then, I say that about the majority of movies.

Agreed. There are some crappy scenes, but the main part of the movie is captivating.

I thought it was riveting, and it . . . snapped! It just had that crisp, consistent flow of keeping things moving without leaving you behind, superb performances (Really, all the three biggies were great, but especially Eisenberg), and exploration of poisonous dysfunction which subjugates personal relationship to pride. Heck, yeah. Yummeh.

RotK, woot! Annoying changes from the book aside, I enjoyed it a lot more than expected. Sat through the extended edition and could've watched another 2 hours. Aaaaand feeling another re-read coming on soon.

I saw The King's Speech yesterday - it was quite grand. A note of special interest is that Colin Firth could draw on personal experience when it came to the monarch's handicap.
