Shadow of the Empire

I don't know if their has been a thread on this or not but I have a few questions on the book. It was a good book and (to me) a fast read but what was the point of the book? Besides the fact that Guri goes missing(which I might add she wasn't in the Return of the Jedi) and the thing in the epiloge where Luke records the message in R2D2 and granted he did build his new light saber but that was a bit of worthless information(I mean duh he had to build another one). And unless Guri shows up in the last 3 witch I'm reading right now there would have been no point to the book.

You could say that about many of the SW EU books.

Extended Universe = EU

I heard/saw this term used to describe the events that occur in the SW universe that does not come from the Original Films. (The Zahn Trilogy, Corelia trilogy, Bounty Hunter trilogy, etc.)

(edited because I wanted to use math symbol with 3 horizontal lines, similar to =)

All I really said was, what was the point to the book and whatever happened to Guri?

Who knows, maybe it is "expanded" universe? Perhaps my memory is faulty on this issue. The definition is the same though.

If I am incorrect then I stand corrected.
