Gollum which would be better film/series

would you prefure a year long series of a film of the hobbit?
for PJ doesn't know wether he will do a film of the hobbit?
and IAn Mcellen wants a series to be done with him as gandalf again, so what do you think?

im not sure. i like ian mckellans idea but i would probably miss half of it and i like movies so i would say probably movies

I think a moive. A series would be to much for people who hadn't read the books it would never keep them interested.

No, It's bad enough with LotR Movie, I can't read the books with old imagination like I used too. I keep getting pictures of Elijah Wood inside my head.
Its hard enough to read the hobbit without seeing Ian Holme and Ian McKellan. IT should be one of those Tolkien books where you can use your imagination.

I think a movie would be bad... because it would be too confusing for those who never read the Hobbit or aren't familar with Me nor Tolkien. And a tv series would be able to better explain it all, but I still think it wouldn't do well and I would miss too many episodes.
