The mods and admins are responsible for keeping the LotR books discussions to the books forum and the movies discussions to the movies forums, as well as closing threads that go off-topic or are redundant; they can ban mooters that go seriously wrong, and they provide bucket-loads of information about LotR when the rest of us don't know an answer. Oh, and they all have superb post counts.
