I'd recommend seeing the first one. There's not as many odd creature in the first one compaired to the second. And I'll leave it at that so not to ruin anything for you.

I just watched it, thanks for the recommendation! I love his sarcasm. And John is kinda cute...
 The movie did give me a new view on HB as an abbreviation though...

I went with my friend to see this and she refered to Prince Nuada as "Legolas with and attitude and not as cute"
I liked how they gave Abe more screen time and actually gave him a few "glory moments" aka a couple of action scenes. And the Angel of Death! Creepy!
