Alessandro Baricco, anyone?

A contemporary Italian writer; I really love his works. He writes in a kind of floating, lyrical style; it's very beautiful to me. What I've got is Novecento, Silk, Ocean Sea, Lands of Glass, and Without Blood. These are the only ones available where I live; however, I've seen an English edition of a book yet unknown to me, titled City.

The novel Novecento has been adapted to screen (4-5 years ago, IIRC), titled The Legend of the Pianist on the Ocean. Sadly, I didn't see it.

So, heard about him? Read something from him?
