Who is excited about the new Voyage of the Dawn Treader movie coming out next year!

Have you been following the pictures on NarniaWeb?

It seems that they are very lenient with having spectators filming the Dawn Treader, even during takes of scenes! I guess it's good marketing, actually - and that there's not a lot of spoilers that will damage anything.

I for one am excited to see pictures of the ship - and people who have seen it, say that it will be even more "magical" in the movie than in just these pictures!

I really hope there's a disclaimer there, Hector. Small changes won't kill me, but selling a significantly different story (like with PC), that I'm not sure I can handle (again). I'm hopeful, though!

Still, I don't think I'll be so disheartened that I wouldn't want the rest made. Somehow they need to get past The Silver Chair to make HHB, MN, and LB. Somehow...

Oh, yes, I've heard a bit about the "MLG", as NarniaWebbers are succinctly calling her.

I think we'll have to see where she comes into the story. There are changes they can make that do not necessarily change the plot, but rather illuminate other parts of the story that would have been rather hard to understand. In PC, the scene with the witch was illuminating the possibilities of the hag and the werewolf, while the attack on Miraz's castle was veering from the plot to stain the character of Peter and fulfill some director's little whim. See the difference? If the MLG is just explaining part of the story (which she very well could be), I'm okay with her.

I've no idea what will happen if she's not just there for explanation of something.

On Narniaweb I posted my own theory about who I think she might be; and that is, I think she is based on the mer-girl that Lucy sees towards at the end of the book.

I think I am sufficiently worried about the movie, and I've gone through a lot of scares hearing about stuff like the Mysterious Little Girl, the Lady of the Green Kirtle, and a battle between Dragon Eustace and the Sea Monster.

However, Doug Gresham must have put his foot down, because they ditched the LotGK idea, and Eustace is no longer going to fight the sea serpent. Previously their idea was that he would "earn" his way out of being a dragon. Then Gresham set them straight about Eustace being saved by grace, not deeds. He WILL however, be undragoned by Aslan just like the book. Skin-tearing and all! That makes me excited about the movie.

Flaherty said the same thing, agreeing with Gresham. He said to Christianity Today,
