Strider What if Lucy licked the lampost?

Sorta random, but I've wondered this many times:

What if Lucy licked the lampost she found after coming into Narnia?
After all, it was winter and her tongue would stick to the lampost if she licked it...

I didn't think about this at all before I saw the movie they made...

You....

Just made my day.

Mr. Tumnus to the rescue with a hot cup of tea?

Having once stuck my tongue to the side of a freezer, I can well tell you, that tea doesn't help.

This is entirely too absolutish for some Entmootian tastes! It implies static norms of physics applicable throughout all creation - including Narnia. That, of course, implies a Creator.

If Lucy licks the lamppost and her tongue sticks, we have the data for an inherent set of absolutes!

This alone will drive BJ crazy.

me9996, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Happened to my sister up in Edmonton when we were kids, when she licked my grandmother's railing after a dare from my cousins- we were from Vancouver, what did we know?- lots of squealing, cured by warm water

Apparently in a film called 'Epic Movie' (which I watched five minutes of and realized it wasn't actually going to be funny.... then turned if off ) she does lick the lamppost and she gets stuck to it. Hilarity ensues---or so I'm told .

I've seen said scene from Epic Movie. It is pretty hilarious. The rest of the movie leaves a lot to be desired however....

I guess it all rather depends where she licked it...

If she had first decided, naturally, to perhaps shimmy up it to the top ..perhaps to see the view, before, naturally licking it..as one does strange metal lamposts in snow bound, lantern wastes ...

It may have been a decidedly dicky situation.

If she had got down on all fours to lick the base ... although i have never heard tell that Base tastes any better... she would have got wet knees and feet, to boot.

Therefore the sensible thing to do, as indeed is stipulated in the 'Essential Guide to licking frozen lamposts in strange Places' - is to lick it at mouth height.

..............

Just out of interest, me9996.... just HOW many times have you wondered this???

So..as to the question - if we assume Tumnus merrily approaches - and with Lucy's tongue veritably (absolutely, Inked would have us postulate) as frozen to a lampost... How do you imagine the subsequent conversation going?... and the con-comitant potential ripples for the subsequent whole History of Narnia?

You know, if she had licked the lamppost while she was on her hands and knees and then got stuck, would Tumnus still have thought her a human?

Not really, it depends. "And that's crazy".
