In the Silver Chair what do the sunken letters say? The ones that Jill, Eustace, and Puddleglum fall into.

Gotta get in the Narnia mindset.

What animal made the very first joke in Narnia?

I ought to know that - I know the animal's reaction to the laughter, and Aslan's answer to that reaction - but the animal???

For a guess - a jackdaw?
(I was going to write a crow, but as I was about to write it, the word 'jackdaw' came to my mind ...)

Oh good - as I said, I ought to know that (Varnafindë was born in Narnia because her parents had stumbled through a portal, so she ought to know about Narnian history ).
The jackdaw asked whether it would always be remembered that he had made the first joke - and Aslan said that he had been the first joke.

Next question!

What did the owl who carried Jill to the Parliament of Owls, offer to catch for her?
