The Mandalorian

There has been two seasons of it. Watched it episode-by-episode (aka 'old-school') as they were released every week, then decided to go back and binge rewatch the two seasons. Quite an excellent show!

I've been hearing great things about the Mandalorian.

But I've been hearing far less great things about Star Wars' current owner, which is Disney. Seems like they feel themselves too good to actually pay the people who wrote works for them.

And if you read how even the likes of Alan Dean Foster have not been receiving royalties for his Star Wars books for years, well that does kind of sours the Star Wars experience for me. Significantly.

I guess you won't enjoy it then.

Yeah. I do admit that I'm also not at a loss of other things to watch in the meantime.

And there is plenty of baby Yoda to go around on the internet not to feel like I'm missing out. Is baby Yoda the best of the series or does it have other highlights?

I missed most of Season 1, but have seen all of Season 2 - when my middle son was home over Christmas Break and I watched with him.

I enjoyed it.

I'll need to catch up on Season 1 at some point.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, Baby Yoda is the cutest part of the series but by far the least dynamic. The main characters are fantastic, and it heartens back to the original films in the outer rim type settings, fighting the empire (sans magical Skywalkers), and general grittiness. Highly recommend, skip the new films but not The Mandalorian.
