fighting hobbits

i have not quite finished RotK but my friend told me the hobbits fight the orcs when saruman attacksbut i dont think i could ever see the hobbits fighting i mean the orcs sre 2 ft taller them and they are trained while the hobbits are 2 feet shorter and dont have a clue how to fight

Maybe you should just keep reading the ROTK. I wouldn't want to spoil the ending for you.

I'll just say that hobbits do know how to fight when they really need to.

they dont even fight orcs, they fight men, sarumans men, and they kill a couple too.

I take it as an insult people saying hobbit aren't good fighters. I mean their height could be an advantage because they can dodge easier and cut those stupids orcs' legs right out form underneath them!

Well in the fray of a battle it wouldn't really matter how quiet you were. But yes that would be helpful in some instances.

Besides, not all orcs are two feet taller than Hobbits- some are roughly the same size, as one scene in RoTK shows clearly.

And isn't Saruman's attack in TTT? If you've almost finished RotK you should be way past that.

Hobbits are good fighters. I mean, look at Merry and Pippin! Oh, and they didn't fight Orcs in the Scourning of the Shire. It was Saruman's Men. And, if I may add, they were much larger than the Hobbits and still lost.
