Combat Mission (Kings Go Forth)

I'm re-reading Combat Mission by Joe David Brown. Its quite a dark and gripping WW2 story.

It was made into a movie in 1958 called Kings Go Forth and though the movie was good and had most iof the important aspects of the book in it, a simple changing of order took the darkness away and made it into a happy Hollywood tale fitting for the day. I could see a remake of this doing quite well these days if done in proper order, and I could see Halle Barry playing the role of Monique.
