Um, you're the one using MY name flamer! I do agree with you about Dex. Or to be more precise the Diner scene. It was quite good and they're inability to see this speaks volumes about their mental health.

ONLY if you admit that Dex's Diner scene is extraneous, OLSON.

I cannot admit to something that isn't true. Your facsistic desire to cow everyone to your opinion is, quite frankly, disturbing.

It's SHEEP!

And if I plan to take over the world, I'll need some practise.

It *is* true. Search your heart, you know it to be true. They could have set it up w/out actually having to show the shot of Obi Wan going to the Diner. They could have incorporated it into the Yoda scene ("lost a planet, he has").

Let it go. You have failed to convince me. Why you cannot accept someone with a differing opinion is is beyond me. You'll be in my prayers.

Ahem. I just wanted to respond to Rei's comment about being "too old" for training. For one thing, the "He's too old" directed at Annikin (albeit true in terms of the "rules") was kind of an "inside" joke because it's the exact same thing he (Yoda) says to Obi-Wan when he asks for Luke to receive training. But it was moot with Luke because Obi-Wan knew that Luke was the last hope (at THAT point) for the overthrow of the Empire/ return of the Jedi. That's the reason he had to be trained.
But then, why didn't Obi-Wan train him sooner, since he lived right around the corner all those years? That's the real question!

I think you have me confused for someone else Azalea, , I never said anything about anyone being to old for training! See, this is what I said...

I don't know if I liked it....
The whole forbidden romance just killed the movie, especially since Natalie Portman and hayden Christenses (?) had absolutely no chemistry. And when thay're getting taken into the big fight scene and she's like "I die a little more each day..." talk about a mood killer, a battle field is no place for romance.A lot of the dialouge was very cheesy, and when C-3PO's head was getting dragged around and he had the line "this is a drag" it became down right horrible.

But Yoda's fight scene rocked and it was a whole lot better than the Phantom Menace. (That little kid that played Anakin bothered me) I really think that Obi-Wan should have been given more lines, he's probably the best actor after Christopher Lee, that the movie had in it.

It looks like my Favorite Star Wars episode is still The Empire Strikes back!
But now that you point it out it is kinda odd.

He was seriously irritating and really wooden, I really liked the fight scenes but there way too many romantic scenes in it its almost like they had gaps to fill so put another scene in it

My fav film is still the Return of the Jedi

Impressions of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones

First of all, those who liked it, I'm very grateful. Second of all, I respect your opinions on this film; I will now harp on this mediocre film.

Plot: What plot?!? Lucas goes out of his way to develop Anakin in this, but does nothing in the way of a plot. My head was spinning from all the shifts in the story. First you have Padme and Anakin, then you have Kamino, then you have Jango Fett and Clone Troopers, then... It gets very annoying after a while. You have five or six subplots going on at the same time, and it's okay for a book, but when you're doing it in a movie, it can make the photo-sensitive sick.

Character Development: Okay, this was pretty good, but Episode III is going to have to work overtime on character development because of the many goof-ups of Lucas. The only CD we had was with Anakin and Padme, and that was only their mutual relationship, which turns into their marriage. No one else. It would have been better for some of the characters, such as Jango Fett and MACE WINDU, but I could kinda see where Lucas wanted to take this.

Script: I absolutely abhorred the script. Jar Jar is back?!? With all his "meesas" and "yousas"?!? This was enough to make me vomit. The part of the love story was revolting, as Hayden Christiansen could not act. He looked mad when he did his lines; with the eyebrows and everything!!! The script could not have gone anywhere but up.

Acting: As I have said before, they could have gotten some better actors. Hayden Christiansen could not act. He looked like he was mad everytime he did his lines. Do you see Marlon Brando doing that in the whole movie? I don't think so. Natalie Portman could have been taken out of this movie, I believe, and so could Ewan. The only redeeming part of the acting was where Frank Oz was concerned (with Yoda, bad syntax and all), and he only played a CGI character.

Music: Probably one of this movie's redeeming factors. John Williams does good with the music, especially the reprise of "The Duel of the Fates" when Anakin is going to save his mother. That made a tie to TPM in so many ways. John Williams was the man to have for the soundtrack. I especially loved the music at the end, where it was chaotic and the music fit in so well with it.

Overall: I would have to say that this is a movie that I would only get the DVD for the extras, and not the movie. The movie was good as a single, but isn't good enough to be considered part of the Star Wars Universe, IMHO.
