OF COURSE I'm talking about the FOTR movie. Geez. The book is a classic, and beats the star wars books hands down. BUT, the Star Wars movies totally kicks LOTRs Movie a$$.

Agree with Clone BoP for film or digital video, I must; BUT ONLY FOR FILM. Better than Star Wars, LOTR is FOR THE BOOKS.

Actually, part of Palpatines genius is that everyone becomes partly responsible for the Republic becoming the Empire (becoming, not being overthrown, the government changes, it's not replaced). Even Yoda is his pawn right now, which is likely what pushes him into running to Dagobah. I doubt he can forgive himself for his part till he sees his redemption in Luke.

DT, I think the downfall of the Republic is one of the most fascinating parts of the whole SW universe, and you've hit upon several key points.

I must confess... the Yoda fight reminded me, at times, of some Muppet Movie when Kermit the Frog was caught on a ceiling fan...
