Remove the Jedi from SWI and change the title and no one would have guess it's a SW movies

no better... remove the lightsaber, and change the name of Jedi for something else and now try to convince me it's a SW film

Let's see... it has Senator Palpatine which is an undeniable link to Emperor Palpatine, Anakin Skywalker, whom everyone knows is going to become Darth Vader, reference to Bail Organa, whom anyone should know is Leia's adoptive father, and the appearances of C3PO and R2D2. That's enough for me .

I may like the movie, but I can't say I like Jar-Jar. I just don't hate him quite as much as most people.

Whether a Jedi or not, Yoda reminds me of the original trilogy.

As the first movie, that is what defined Star Wars. That and the next two.

Yoda is always SW, no matter what. See above statement.

because it was Frank Oz doing Yoda's voice, he sounds like a timid, but cute little Fozzy Bear.

Reasons why LotR is better than Star Wars:

1) You don't have to wait 3 years between movies.
2) Gandalf
3) No Jar Jar (I thought he was ok, but he did get old)
4) The books are actually good.
5) Not too much mushy love story.

Fellowship of the Ring is the first movie that I have ever seen more than once in a theater. Not even Star Wars Ep. 1 could pull that off. LotR will keep its hype up, but Star Wars will have to rebuild it every 3 years. I might have liked it better if they would have made Ep.s 7, 8, and 9. You already know how 1, 2, and 3 are going to come out.

Do you think that Queen Amidala is Luke and Leia's mother? Since her and Anakin apparently have the love thing going on, I wouldn't be surprised.

I just don't think LotR is comparable to Star Wars anyway. Of course it's superior, why bother to say it? Did I just contradict myself? Oh well.

Yep, Amidala is Luke and Leia's mother. It's a fact. Don't ask me how I know, I just do. Read it somewhere, and besides, it's kinda obvious what with love story er, stuff, they are putting in.

And besides, look at Padme Amidala's hair.
(I know hair style isn't genetic, but still)

I do not totaly agree with what has been say

first harry Potter (while i didn't realy like the movies generate more money than LOTR wich means more poeple have been seeing it up to now)

second i think that SW IV-V-VI are is far superior to LOTR in the way that they help develope the technique of the cinema to reach a new step... unfortunately they also start the sideline product that we all know now come along with almost every movies.

i also think that the interraction between the character in SW 4-5-6 are more interresting than in LOTR

Do you think Leia will be born with cinnamon buns stuck to the sides of her head? I hope not. That might scar me for life.

You'll notice I said that Ep. 1 wasn't as good as LotR. I'll have to wait until I see The Two Towers and The Return of the King before I say if LotR is as good as Ep.s 4, 5, and 6. I think it will be close.

Would have to admit ...

I must admit - Raiders of the Lost Ark was as good as Lord of The Rings Fellowship of the Ring Harrison Ford and Karen Allen clicked perfectly

I would have to disagree, but of course I am horribly biased. It is a good movie, though!

Ok Eruviel. I give up. Nothing will ever be as good as Fellowship of the Ring and/or the entire trilogy. Honestly, I think LotR will most likely blow everything else ever made away.

Hopefully, TTT will blow FOTR away. The same with ROTK on TTT. I think that's PJ's vision; whether or not it does happen.
