I want to read ALL of the Star Wars books eventually (especially the classic EUs like the Thrawn Trilogy), but I'm not quite there yet.

SOME books are not canon. Such as the jedi prince series. However some are.

Mja, the characterisation wasn't very well done in that one. It's my least favourite. Although I loved the idea of the Chu'untor, or what ever the exact name of that vessel was.

Of course! I hate being quizzed so I could slip up. I'm no longer as incredulous as I was, since I just went through a parallel situation on Myspace.

Furthering the question above, I have to ask this because I've been wondering for quite some time:
Was Luke in fact the "chosen one" spoken of by the unnamed prophecy, or was it Anakin's (Sp? I've never used his name before, I just realized.) job as the chosen one to set events into motion that would "put the force back into balance"? I think it was a mistake on the part of the Jedi, and that it was in fact Luke. My reasoning tells me that this is somewhat similar to what happened with the Bene Gesserit breeding program in Dune: they got their Kwisatz Haderach a generation before they thought they would.

I'm fairly certain it was Anakin. He brought balance to the Force; reduced the number of Jedi until they matched the number of Sith.

Well in the end anikin is the chosen one (He killed emperor palpatin ending the sith order for good). I myself DO NOT feel this is true. However if you think that thats fine. I just do not think this could be true. Ani had far more training then luke.

It was anikin. After all he killed the emperor. Thats the end of the sith right there. Forever. Then again... Theres that shadow acadmy! but they are dark jedi rather then sith (Long story)
